Strategic Execution & Operational Partnership
Serve as the primary operational partner to the VP Global Science by translating strategic priorities into actionable plans, tracking progress, and ensuring consistent follow-through across the Science Function.
Governance, Decision Support & Business Coordination
Prepare and coordinate decision-making forums, leadership meetings, and governance bodies by ensuring structured agendas, accurate documentation, and effective follow-up on action items. Ensure operational consistency across therapeutic areas by maintaining a holistic overview of all Science business support processes.
Financial Oversight Management
Manage Science Controlling, including oversight of product and project costs, budget planning strategy, and budget data processing.
Procurement & External Service Management
Manage indirect purchasing within the BANF process, including financial authorization, coordination with Legal for notary processes, and selection and handling of translation service providers.
Leadership & Internal Communication
Lead the Business Support Team and drive internal communication within the Science Function, ensuring that key information is effectively cascaded across teams and hierarchical levels.
What sets you apart:
You hold a Master’s degree in a business, science, or related field and bring 7–10 years of experience in a strategic, operational, or business management role within a regulated (pharma/life sciences) environment. You have experience in financial governance, science controlling, and outsourcing management in complex, cross-functional organizations.
Strategic Execution, Analysis & Problem Solving
You are proven in operating at the interface of strategy and operations, translating leadership priorities into structured plans and ensuring effective execution. You demonstrate strong analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to work through ambiguous, multi-dimensional problems and produce clear, decision-ready outputs.
Stakeholder Management
You bring exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, enabling you to influence across hierarchical levels and act as a trusted representative. You demonstrate a high level of discretion, reliability, and organizational judgment, and are comfortable operating with limited direct authority in a highly networked environment.
