Senior Portfolio Manager – LCM & Margin Optimization (m/f/d)

Your Tasks:
- Establish and maintain continuous portfolio rationalization and pruning process; proactively stop low-value or non-strategic projects and eliminate unrewarded complexity, e.g., underperforming SKUs or legacy products, to streamline operations and free up resources for higher-impact initiatives
- Lead product portfolio prioritization, incl. evaluate and prioritize products based on factors such as market potential, competitive landscape
- Drive value optimization – identify and develop strategies and drive profitability improvement initiatives, e.g., product/channel/COGS optimization
- Coordinate cross-functional execution with Integration Management Office, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs and other relevant functions
- Maintain and continuously update value optimization & margin-relevant business cases to reflect evolving cost and value drivers
- Identify and drive simplification levers across portfolio and operations (e.g. Integration Management Office, Supply Chain Management, Commercial); monitor realized impact and recommend follow-ups
- Support lifecycle extension strategies – identify and develop strategies divestments to enhance product value
- Support LCM evaluation methodologies, governance routines, and reporting structure
Your Profile:
- You have successfully completed a degree in business management, economics, finance or related fields
- You have 6-9 years of experience in consulting (MBB / Tier 2) in strategy, operations, or value optimization/margin-focused roles
- You have a strong analytical background and experience with P&L drivers
- You have a hands-on execution mindset with a track record of leading cross-functional margin or cost initiatives
- You have experience in the environment of internationally operating companies in the healthcare/life sciences sector or related industries
- You are business fluent in English and ideally fluent in German
